I’ve always enjoyed the pieces made by plus size clothing company Kiyonna. Some are quick to criticize the designs because the retailers use the same basic sihouettes and styles at an almost excessive level of redundancy. The normally mid-level to high priced clothing label is still churning out fabulously simple pieces that scream understated elegance and sophistication. But, like with so many other retailers; however goes the economy, so goes the shoppers. What’s bad news for there business, is great news for those in need of some retail therapy.

After a recent glance at their website, I was shocked to find so many items at Kiyonna on sale. While most of the pieces have a definite summer quality, because the company believes in the power of a coy knee length hem and half and three-quarter length sleeves, the number of sale items that can travel from summer to fall are seemingly endless. For example, sheer stockings, leggings, or high boots are sure to set the Eden Colorblock dress in black and ivory on fire long enough to keep you warm till the end of the season. At an almost 40 percent markdown, this $68.00 dress is still available in all original sizes and is simultaneously conservative and sexy. As the white colorblocking creates a beautiful cinched waist and an emphasized bustline, the black free flowing skirt and fitted elbow-length sleeves activate the slimming effect and make the whole body look spectacular. The polyester and spandex mix of the fitted style may make a body shaper a necessity if you are not completely satisfied with the shape of your body.
