The mitered stripe halter top from Lane Bryant is the most discreetly sexy piece of clothing that I have seen in a very long time. The sexy stripe pattern angles down and towards the center of the body creating the visual illusion of a bottom heavy hourglass figure. While that may not be appealing to women who are already bottom heavy, it’s a definite plus for more moderately shaped individuals. The black banding along the bottom starkly contrasts the rest of the piece creating a distinct and sexy outline for the body. My favorite part of the piece is the inch thick band that runs around the neck. It’s the perfect way to include a choker style necklace without actually having to buy one. The only thing I find unfortunate about this piece is that in a time of cold weather, I wish the shrug that you can buy to accompany the halter top featured longer sleeves.
I love the idea of wearing a sexy halter top out clubbing in the middle of winter. Showing skin when most people are trying to cover up is a surefire way to edge out the competition. But the back baring halters we’re so accustomed to seeing during the summer are just not suitable for cold, holiday weather. To get all the sex appeal of a full out halter top with just a touch more coverage, try pairing a loose fitting racerback, like the maple sugar top from Alight, with a hip hugging pair of dark skinny jeans and booties.
Certain fabrics are the epitome of luxury, such as silk
One of my favorite things about today’s lingerie is that so many pieces can double as seductive clothing. This Beaded Necklace Halter Top, for example, can be worn as a trendy top, or as a sensual undergarment to tease your partner. Viewing this top from the front, the first thing most people notice is the attached beaded necklace. A well coordinated large ring connects the halter to the necklace, and matching beads decorate the necklace and further complements the top. The material connecting the large necklace ring to the halter has been gathered, accentuating your bust. With lightly padded cups, your breasts will be slightly pushed up, creating excellent cleavage. Side lace panels add texture and sex appeal to the top. Ties are included in the back for an improved overall fit.
Empire waist designs are everywhere these days. On dresses and tops, cut low or high, it seems like people just can’t get enough of the waist flattering silhouette that dates back to the 1800s. But because of their popularity (and the number of pieces with the feature in my closet) I try to stay away from them. That is, until I find one that I can’t walk away from.
