There are so many clothing items advertised as versatile in the fashion industry that sometimes it’s hard to know if the title really applies. Not everything can really go from day to night as easily as some ad executives might want you to believe. On the other hand, this satin trimmed shirtdress is absolutely deserving of that title. Why? Well, the main reason is because it is a shirtdress. By definition shirtdresses are designed to be versatile, as they are a style that can be worn at any time for a variety of occasions. Some are more appropriate than others for certain events, but all are at the very least a two-in one-combo. Or, put another way, what mullets are to hair, shirtdresses are to fashion (i.e. business up top, party down below). The satin trimmed version of this popular style of dress features short sleeves, a collared v-neck, a three-buttoned front and an empire waist with ruching up top. Above the belt it has everything one might need to appear confident and appropriately dressed at the office, though I do think the awkwardly cut sleeves belong on another outfit. Paired with a blazer or shrug that fell no longer than the waist, it could make heads turn all day at work.
